CISCRP CLINICAL TRIAL AWARENESS EXHIBIT
Many factors are associated with low levels of participation in clinical trials, such as low levels of awareness about clinical trial activity conducted locally, limited understanding about the personal relevance of clinical trials to public health, and the lack of culturally and community- sensitive outreach and communication. This traveling exhibit is a novel approach to normalizing the conversation around clinical research and bringing information directly to the heart of communities around the country in places where they want to learn about participation opportunities.
The exhibit had to be designed for easy transport and setup at 3 major city locations (Atlanta, Chicago, and NYC). Displayed at health and community events, our client employed and trained ambassadors who worked their way into their communities to connect the public with local resources. Our goal was to create an attention getting, optimistic and interactive experience that could educated on it's own and augment the work of the volunteers. In addition we wanted the experience from each event to be reflected in future gatherings. 3 campaigns were proposed. The final was chosen for conveying an optimistic tone and for emphasizing diversity.
